Orange Vanilla Sugar Cookies

Since Vignette Bake Shop is now operating under the new Maryland Cottage Food Law (amendment HB 1106), shipping of goods are limited to only within Maryland state. Shipping and handling for each luxe boxed gift set, collections and favors start at $7.50 via USPS Regional Priority Mail, which includes postage, insurance and tracking. You will receive a tracking number once the order package has been shipped. Please note that USPS does not guarantee delivery date or insure against breakage. Therefore, I can only guarantee that I will ship orders on an agreed upon date.

If you live within Montgomery County, MD, you may select the option of local delivery for an $8 fee versus shipping USPS. Vignette Bake Shop will reach out to you to confirm the delivery date, location and time.

All cookies are individually bagged in compostable cello bags and heat sealed for freshness and protection. For collections and favors, cookies are wrapped in recycled tissue paper and carefully placed in recycled Kraft boxes. For our gift sets, the individually bagged cookies are placed in a luxe window gift box lined with recycled shred and then wrapped in tissue paper. The Kraft boxes and gift set boxes are then placed into a shipping box which is further padded by biodegradable starch packing peanuts. I take great care to ensure your cookies arrive safe and sound, but cannot guarantee that damage won’t occur.

Due to high demand, a minimum two weeks lead time is usually required to place an order. Please check order calendar for available ship dates.

Since all of Vignette’s cookies are made from scratch to order, I have a very limited number of cookies available each week. When you book an order, other orders may be declined to ensure I allow enough time to complete your order. Therefore, I do not allow for cancellations or refunds less than 7 days prior to the ship date provided on your invoice.

Vignette Bake Shop is not responsible for lost packages. If your order does not arrive at all and USPS tracking does not show as “delivered”, please submit a claim to USPS.

The sugar cookies are individually heat sealed in a thick, compostable cello bag that should allow the cookie to stay fresh up to two weeks when kept in their bags or an air-tight container at room temperature. Please do not put in the refrigerator as the colors may bleed and keep out of direct sunlight.

You can freeze your sugar cookies, but please note you risk the cookies taking on a slightly blotchy appearance (particularly darker colors) and color bleed of sugar sprinkles (if used). Please do not attempt to freeze any cookie where fondant is used.

Freezing Process: Place individually bagged cookies into freezer bag, which is then placed inside a plastic air-tight container and into the freezer. Once you are ready to defrost, remove cookies from container and freezer bag, but keep in individual cello bags. Leave the cookies untouched on the counter, out of direct sunlight until they reach room temperature. Please do not expose cookies to air while they are still cold as condensation may appear and ruin the icing.
